Rooted in our mission to help people BELIEVE, CONNECT, and SHARE the grace of God in Jesus Christ, our youth ministry is committed to seeing every student grow in their love for the Saviour as they deepen their knowledge of Him.

On Sunday mornings, we discuss the weekly sermon through the lens of youth, helping them apply God’s Word to their own lives.

Friday nights feature The Unstuck Life series, guiding students through key areas of discipleship to build a firm foundation in Christ, with tailored discussions and activities just for them that will encourage strong biblical habits, offer fun opportunities to connect, and create an engaging space where faith can flourish.

Youth Leader:

• Love working with youth
• Ready to answer the tough questions
• Spiritually grounded and committed to prayer
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Able to teach and facilitate discussions with clarity and warmth
• Relatable to youth while modeling Christlike character
• Flexible and calm under pressure

Youth Helper:

• Helpers are for those who don’t want to teach, but are able to connect with youth in a genuine, Christ-centered way
• High Energy: friendly, approachable, and encouraging
• Willing to serve in practical ways without needing the spotlight
• Brings positive energy to games and activities
• Supports the leader’s vision and direction

Sunday mornings – 11am in the youth room (garage across the lawn) 

Friday night – 2nd Friday evening of the month 7:00-10:00pm (event is 7:30-9:30pm)

Saturday night – Typically last weekend of the month, timing varies

✅ Must be a MEMBER at Grace Baptist Church, having attended our church for a minimum of 6 months

✅ Safe Church training (Plan to Protect)

✅ Vulnerable Sector Police Check

✅ Interview with Ministry Lead

✅ Attend quarterly planning/training sessions

✅ Attend other service when scheduled to serve (I.e. attend at 9am if serving at 11am)

Youth Ministry Leader – Coordinator & Discussion Guide

The ideal leader is someone with a deep love for Jesus and a heart for discipling the next generation. They are organized and proactive, able to plan and coordinate events, manage schedules, and ensure activities run smoothly. They’re confident in leading Bible-based discussions, able to connect Scripture to real-life situations youth face, and skilled at drawing out participation from quieter students. They balance spiritual maturity with approachability—someone who can both mentor and laugh alongside the youth.

Youth Ministry Helper – Support, Energy, and Engagement

The ideal helper is enthusiastic, dependable, and eager to serve. They thrive on building relationships with students, encouraging participation, and creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere. They’re quick to jump into games, assist with setup and cleanup, and support the leader during discussions by helping manage small groups or engaging one-on-one with students. They bring energy and joy, but also know when to listen and offer encouragement.
