Ministry Purpose / Vision

The internet has become a powerful medium to spread the gospel. The Digital Ministry Team at Grace uses technology and online platforms to share the message of Jesus and engage with people where they spend their time online.

Who we’re looking for

We need detail-oriented and skilled people who are willing to use their gifts in graphic design, video editing, web development, and social media management to help contribute to our digital channels. You have a passion and appreciation for the ways in which visual assets tell a story, enhance a user/visitor’s experience and attract positive attention to our message. You also need to be able to be creative while still following our church’s design language.

Experience: You don’t necessarily need to have career/work experience, but you need to have real experience using:

  • graphic design applications: Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Canva,
  • Video editing applications: Adobe Premiere, Davinci Resolve
  • Web Design: UI/UX principles
  • Web development: HTML 5, CSS, JS, Accessibility, Squarespace, WordPress.

Technology: You need to have your own computer capable of handling the applications needed to create digital assets.

Timeliness: You need to be able to meet deadlines, sometimes with short turnaround times.

Portfolio: Help us see some of the work you’ve done.

Time Commitment

Graphic Design

  • As needed, but could be 1 project every couple months, depending on the needs. Regular graphic design needs focus on developing our sermon series banners, but special projects do happen from time to time.

Video Production

  • Weekly Out of Neutral Videos: Weekly to help edit our Out of Neutral videos. These videos are approximately 5 minutes in length and are heavily templated, so would only take an hour at most, depending on the needs. Depending on how many people are able to do this, the commitment could be less.
  • Special projects: As needed. From time to time, there may be videos we need to produce that are not part of our regular production. For example, Ministry Fair promo, promos for other events, and testimonial videos.

Web Design (UI/UX)and Development

  • As needed, usually when we have to design and develop a new page or new section on our site, or update a new section for the sermon series.

Training and Requirements

We do not provide training to obtain these skills, but we will provide some training on the use of our specific platforms and channels.

We will provide guidance and helpful critiques to help ensure that the assets we are producing meet the level of quality we are trying to achieve.
