Grace Kids
Ministry Purpose / Vision
Grace Kids exists to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging space where children can grow in their knowledge of God and experience childlike joy and wonder of knowing Him personally. Through Bible stories, scripture memorization, games and worship, we help children encounter the love and truth of Jesus Christ.
Our goal is to guide each child toward understanding the character of Jesus, fostering a heart that loves Him and desire to have a relationship with Him through the Gospel. Grace Kids hopes to build a strong spiritual foundation that children can hold fast to throughout their childhood years and to become future youth and leaders of Grace Baptist Church.
Who we’re looking for
✅ Kind and gentle-hearted people who love Jesus, working with kids, and want to share God’s love to little kids
✅ Ideal for friendly and patient individuals who can teach or facilitate learning
✅ If you like to be creative, that’s a plus!
Time Commitment
Frequency: Anywhere between once a month to every week (flexible)
Time: Sunday Mornings @ 11:00 a.m.
Location: Church basement in the Fellowship Hall
Teachers: Preparation time – approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour each week
Helpers: No preparation necessary
Training and Requirements
✅ Attend Grace Baptist Church for a minimum of 6 months
✅ Safe Church training (Plan to Protect)
✅ Vulnerable Sector Police Check
✅ Interview with Ministry Lead
✅ Attend annual planning/training sessions
✅ Attend other service when scheduled to serve (I.e. attend at 9am if serving at 11am)
Volunteer Roles Available
Teachers – lead/facilitate Bible lessons (from church curriculum) and memory verse *must be a member of Grace Baptist Church*
Helpers – help with crafts, snacks, games, and transitions *membership not required*

FAQs
Do I need prior experience working with children?
While an asset, prior experience is not required. We’re looking for individuals with a gentle, caring heart and a willingness to serve. Training and support will be provided.
What is the expected time commitment?
We offer flexible scheduling options to suit your availability. Whether you can serve weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, we’ll work with you to find the right fit.
Will I be leading a group on my own?
All volunteers serve as part of a team to ensure support, safety, and a collaborative environment!
What if I’m unsure or want to observe first?
That’s perfectly okay. We encourage new volunteers to shadow a class before making a commitment, so you can get a feel for the ministry and ask any questions.
